    There are several ways of getting the internet in the likeside area. When considering which service, you will need to keep in mind;

    - What are my up time requirements (IE 24/7)
    - What are my access speed requirements
    - Am I going to have VOIP

    Texmex is by far the biggest provider and offers high speed broadband services starting at $350 pesos (US$32) per month, once you purchase the equipment at an approximate cost of US$100.

    Lagunanet began offering dial up internet services in Ajijic, Chapala and its surrounding areas back in 1997, bringing Internet to Lakeside for the first time. In the year 2000, because of a lack of phone infrastructure, Lagunanet implemented the first high speed connections using 2.4 ghz wireless technologies bringing speeds twice that of dial up, and continues to offer high speed connectivity using 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz wireless technology. Eliminating the need of using traditional copper infrastrucuture.

    Currently Lagunanet offers dial up connections in most areas of Lake Chapala, Wireless coverage is available in Ajijic, San Juan Cosala, Jocotepec and San Antonio,
