Bringing Your Boat to Mexico

When you arrive at a Mexican port in your private boat, you can obtain a temporary import permit similar to the one given for motor vehicles.

Bringing Your Own Plane to Mexico

Flying your own plane to Mexico, however, is more complicated. Well before your trip, inquire about private aircraft regulations and procedures from a Mexican consulate or Mexican Government Tourist Office.

Bringing Your Motor Home to Mexico

The rules for bringing in a Motor Home are the same for bringing in your car and the rules allow you to drive your motor home into Mexico while pulling your car behind it. You will need to obtain vehicle permits for both the Motor Home and the car. (Read Bringing your Vehicle into Mexico in the “Driving into Mexico” section.)
