Focus on the Truth about Mexico, Focus on Mexico
Have you ever thought about
retiring to Mexico
and living a life on vacation with a lower cost of living, much better weather
than where you live, an enigmatic culture…?
But…how can you Focus on Mexico if every
day you are bombarded by the media with information regarding the drug cartels,
the insecurity, the bandidos, etc…?
How can you Focus on Mexico if you
don’t know the real thing? I mean the
real thing?
Focusing on Mexico
Jean Jacques Rousseau,
(1712-1778) used to say a famous phrase very well known in Mexico that can
be translated to “Your liberty is limited by the liberty of your
neighbors.”
If the media follows this
reasoning, then the listener has the freedom to hear the truth and make their
own conclusions as to the truth of what they’re hearing, and then will not feel
manipulated.
So what limits the “freedom
of speech” of the media? Knowledge of
the facts and background, responsibility, respect, an immaculate reputation,
not having a second agenda, manners, experience, proof, and as we would say in
Mexico: having the donkey’s mane held with your hand.
The Focus on Mexico team has spent hours writing and making
videos of Mexico and the
real thing about living in the Lake
Chapala area. As well, many other people have written about
living in Mexico: people who have dived into this country and culture and have
the knowledge, have studied the background, speak responsibly, respect the
country that has opened their arms to them, have immaculate reputations, do not
have a second agenda, have manners, have experienced by themselves, have proof
in the life they live down here… I mean, have the donkey’s mane held with their
own hands.
Speaking the Truth
Yes, it is true, the
government of Mexico is
fighting the drug cartels that are fighting among themselves to own the
corridors to the U.S. Is this war going on all over the
country? No. Is this war very violent? Yes.
Are all the Mexicans affected by this war? Only in our feelings, in our pride, in our
honor, in our freedom to go visit all this beautiful areas in which
unfortunately these people are making a mess.
Does the media say the
truth, all the truth, and nothing but the truth? No, not really. Do they have second agendas? Yes, they do.
Do I have a second agenda
while writing this article? No I don’t;
my first and only agenda is to invite you to follow your dreams no matter
what. Just like I did when I moved to
the Lake Chapala Area.
Your responsibility
So what do I recommend for
you to make a responsible decision and dare to follow your dream?
My first recommendation is
to learn the facts and background of the issues that you hear from the media,
experience for yourself and find proof for your conclusions. Don’t believe everything that you hear…research
the facts and the background of who you are listening to.
My second recommendation, Follow
your gut, Focus on your dreams.
“When you bring an end to
judgment, you bring an end to an entire way of living. This is no small thing.
This is a life-changing shift in attitude and behavior. This is a miracle. The
way to move out of ...judgment is to move into gratitude.” – Neale Donald
Walsch, author
Do you believe that if you
follow your dreams, you will end up living in gratitude? Just imagine you are already living your
dream… feels good ah! Does it feel
gratifying? Yes, it does!
“Tell the truth, to everyone
about everything, then live with your truth, in every moment and in every way,
and you will be happy forever in your heart. For truth makes the spirit soar,
truth sets the mind free, truth opens the heart, and truth ignites the passion
and releases the love of the soul.” - Neale Donald Walsch
Would you like to give the above phrase a try? …it could help you to Focus. Because, in my opinion, “the truth will set
you free” (John 8:32) and then you will not feel manipulated.
So focus on your dreams and
join a Focus on Mexico Program, then you will have the tools to make your
choice regarding “the rest of your life.”
Is this your time?
