Religion - Churches

Throughout Mexico, Roman Catholicism is the faith of 89% of the population. Protestants represent a small but growing minority with 6% and others at 5%.

In Lake Chapala, we are so very fortunate to have such a wide variety of places to worship, many of them beautiful works of architecture and hundreds of years old; Spanish, bilingual and
many English services.

It seems each year we have new denominations – as the demand appears, the supply results. Here is a partial list of places to worship in the different villages along the lake.
