. Fiesta Time – 5000 registered Fiestas in Mexico. Tradition and history is very strong in Mexico. Hundreds of colorful, noisy local fiestas offer intriguing cultural exchange. Christmas Posadas, religious pilgrimages at Easter, and many colorful parades. Some local religious festivities last for days, even weeks with crowds flooding the streets in the village and plazas, celebrating with processions, fireworks everywhere, street markets, rodeos, the circus, music that goes on and on.
. Cooking Classes – School of Mexican Culinary Arts. Rose Marie Plaschinski, who began her career at the Cordon Bleu in Paris and studied at the Culinary Institute of American in New York, after which she went to Mexico City and attended UNAM and mastered many historical dishes of Mexico. Now, she’s our very own, living on the other side of the Lake. You can get a few people together for a cooking class, then eat what you make and even stay the night in her relaxed B & B.
