Focus On Mexico Experience:

February 27, 2000

Subject: Our visit of February 15 to 24, 2000 on Focus on Mexico program

Now that Rhoda and I have returned home and reluctantly resumed our Canadian Winter routine, we thought it fitting that we again express our sincere admiration and appreciation for your efforts in making our visit with you such an experience; as a matter of fact, I am still waiting for the "second shoe to drop"!

As a retired Canadian Forces Officer with 33 years experience, I have accumulated an abnormal amount of unpleasant surprises during my many forays around the globe. These have resulted from both personal and professional trips. I have to admit that even after attending your seminar and reading all your published materiel last year, I was still somewhat dubious that you would meet our expectations.

This is why I am still waiting for the "second shoe"; to say that we were satisfied would be an understatement to the nth degree. After a careful review of all our activities‚ Rhoda and I agree that we have never had such a pleasant and beneficial experience! Your advertisements and claims proved to be exactly on the mark, and all were of 5 star quality. When I think of the time I spent in preparation for the trip writing notes and questions on a wide variety of subjects and then compiling a notebook, I feel a little silly to say the least. Your Speakers and their presentations, I found, answered virtually all my queries and I ended up discarding my notebook and retaining your handout.

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. We arrived in Mexico with a plan to survey the Lake Chapala area for retirement purposes and only when completely convinced that it was for us, perhaps arrange for a 1 year rental to try it on". Before our trip ended, the plan went out the window as we recognized the true value of the area for our retirement and we purchased a new home! This, coming from a couple who are known for their financial and safety concerns, is a tribute to your Company.

We look forward to joining you and the Canadian Community as new residents of the Lake Chapala area.

Sincerely

Jim Wamboldt

Note from Marie at Focus:  Jim & Rhoda now live full time in Lake Chapala and have become neighbors and good friends.  During their Focus on Mexico Program, when Rhoda and I were chatting we discovered we are both from the same little town of about 5,000 people – Windsor, Nova Scotia and we had to come all the way to Mexico to meet.
